A Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God) no le fue permitido donar sangre

Esto fué lo que publicó el vocalista de Lamb Of God, Randy Blythe, en su historia de Instagram en el día de ayer:

«fui a hacer una donación de sangre hoy en una campaña de extracción de sangre de American Red Cross (Cruz Roja). Estaba realmente entusiasmado porque A) me gusta ayudar a las personas, B) era una forma para salir de la casa sin culpa durante una hora (hay un gran necesidad de donaciones en este momento), y C) la campaña de sangre se realizó en la sala sindical local. Pensé que estaba bien como para ir después de tomarme una muestra de sangre y responder un montón de preguntas hasta que les dije sobre un reciente viaje fuera del país para surfear en un área que tiene mucha jungla, y hay malaria allí, así que tengo que esperar un año antes de donar para asegurarme de que no tengo malaria en la sangre, supongo, totalmente comprensible, pero aún así estaba desanimado. Si no eres un vagabundo que practica surf en la jungla como yo, te animo a que entres a RED CROSS BLOOD para encontrar un centro cerca de ti, podrías salvar la vida de alguien. Odio las agujas, pero ahora no es el momento de ser débil. No funcionó para mí, pero podría para ti, oye, al menos lo intenté.»

La banda lanzará un nuevo álbum el 8 de Mayo de 2020 que llevará el título de «Lamb Of God».

So I went to make a blood donation today at an @americanredcross blood drive- I was really stoked because A) I like helping people, B) it was a guilt-free way to get out of the house for an hour (there is a great need for donations right now), & C) the blood drive was held at the union hall of IBEW Local #666 !!!!! (hell yes, we have Local 666 in RVA!🤘🏿😈🤘🏿!) I thought I was good to go after getting my blood sampled & answering a bunch of questions until I told them about a recent out of country trip to surf in an area that has a lot of jungle- there is malaria there, so I have to wait a year before I donate to make sure I don’t have malarial blood, I guess- totally understandable, but I was still bummed. If you aren’t a jungle tromping surf bum like me, I encourage you to go to WWW.REDCROSSBLOOD.ORG to find a drive near you- you could save someone’s life. I freaking HATE needles, but screw it- now is no time to be a DAMN WIMP.
